Online Marketing
Online promotion can be a really cost effective method of promoting your brand, generating traffic to your site and acquiring new clients. There are a number of excellent tools available to help you, including:
1) Google Adwords – This lets you display a text or banner ad to a Google search user based on the ‘keywords’ they used when making a search. The user can then follow a link to your site where you can promote your service to them. Using AdWords cost effectively requires getting the right ad text, using the right keywords and constant testing.
2) Facebook Social Ads - These allow organisations to display small banner ads on the facebook site and now account for 21% of all online display ads in the UK. They are effective because they can be tightly targeted based on factors such as the user's age, gender, location, interests, education etc. They are also highly controllable and provide real time management information on the number of times displayed, click through rates and costs incurred.
3) Ad Mob Mobile – The rapid growth of mobile web access means tools are now emerging that let you promote your service direct to people phones. They use similar advertising models to the traditional web but because the space is less crowded they can be more cost effective than normal online promotions.
